Legislation

We do it only legally

As one of the few companies in Slovakia we perform drone flying LEGALLY and we have all the permits to operate UAS.

Register UAV

Our drones (UAS) from the renowned brand DJI, are officially approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Every drone we use is registered in the aircraft register of the Slovak Republic Transport Authority and regularly undergoes our inspections and maintenance. In this way, we guarantee that every flight complies with the latest legislative standards and aviation regulations.

Pilot License

We successfully passed the theoretical and practical examinations for categories A1/A3, A2 and STS at the Transport Authority of the Slovak Republic in the Civil Aviation Division. We hold an operating permit in the special category 'SPECIFIC' to fly drones capable of being flown without a pilot, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/947.

When flying, we do not endanger the safety of other aircraft, persons or property on the ground.

During each flight, we maintain visual contact with the drone at all times, based on current legislation.

For flying in the CTR zone we require permission from the airport tower.

We can provide special permission for take-off in close proximity to airports and military areas.

Permissions

The "special" category operating permit, issued and approved by the Transport Authority based on a rigorous SORA risk analysis assessment, authorizes us to legally conduct drone flights under specific conditions.

Insurance

Each of our drones is duly insured against liability for damage caused by a crash, through the concluded insurance PZP (liability insurance). The sum insured is set at up to EUR 1 300 000which covers potential risks and provides financial protection in the event of unforeseen events during operation.

Report permission

Our drone permits and operational documentation are taken care of by a proven and experienced company that we work closely with. This company provides comprehensive management of our permits in the category of SPECIFICincluding regularly updating them and monitoring current regulations to ensure the highest level of safety during our flights. With their help, we continuously adapt our operational documentation to ensure compliance with current aviation standards and regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are permits required to fly a drone?

Yes, there are permits required to fly a drone depending on the category of flight, the weight of the drone and where you are flying. The applicable rules are set by EASA and the Transport Authority - Civil Aviation Division.

What category of drone licence do you have? (Open, Special, Certified)

We have permissions in the Special Category (Specific). Our drone operations are approved under two individual SORA authorizations and we have also successfully passed the STS-01 and STS-02 standard scenario exams in addition to A1/A3 + A2. This allows us to undertake more complex flights that go beyond the open category, in accordance with EASA and Aviation Authority safety requirements.

Are your drones insured?

Yes, all of our drones are properly insured in accordance with applicable regulations. We have liability insurance in place to cover any risks associated with our flights.

Do you have experience flying in controlled airspace (e.g. near airports)?

Yes, we have many years of experience flying in controlled airspace (CTR), including areas close to airports - in this case for example the whole of Bratislava. Our drone operators are familiar with the rules and procedures for these areas and we always secure the necessary clearances from the airport tower before each flight to ensure we comply with all safety and operational regulations. We only fly in areas where all conditions for safe flight are met.

Are your drone operators licensed?

Yes, we are one of the few who currently have the highest possible European permits in the SPECIFIC category with A1/A2, A3, STS exams.
